It's not that they're not for real, it's just that there's a ton of crap out there. If you check out there's a consumer advocacy group who's basically going through and testing out all the products that are on the market and discovering that the majority of them, like the guys above said, are absolute garbage - but a few of them are basically software packages that allows you to submit huge amounts of grant applications really quickly. It seems to be working well for a few people, I know one or two people in real life, and have had real conversations with a number of people online who have received grants using these products - the nice thing about the online ones is that they're usually free, you just end up paying shipping. I actually bought a grants book back in the day and used to to help me apply for a business grant - got $20k for my carpentry business back in Detroit. Of course, I had to report to the gov't what I did with that money in this case, but not all the grants require that. Well, hold on.
