I am buying a house and after making several offers on the home they finally accepted an offer. I was asked to pay the real estate agent 1000 dollars in earnest money on a house that i am interested in so that they can see that I am serious bout buying the house. My question is this: If after the inspection I am not happy with the house can I renegotiate the initial offer if all the things that are wrong with the house are not fixed? And if the seller refuses to fix everything with the house, and refuses to lower the price do I have to go through with the deal even if I already gave them 1000 dollars earnest money? And If I do not go through with the deal because I am unsatisfied with repairs on the house am I entitled to get the 1000 dollars earnest deposit back or do I lose this money?

I was contacted by a condo realtor to sale my condo in Orlando. He requested $500 up front to sale condo, which was paid through the bank. Through others, I found out that many have lost though this type of deal. I have not signed any contracts. What steps do I need to take to get my $500 back?

I was in process of buying a restaurant and have deposited $1000 in the escrow account. Later on I stepped back and decided not to buy the business because the seller was unable to provide me the tax papers on time.

Now the seller’s attorney says that he is not going to release the money deposited in the escrow account as I have not provided any valid reason to cancel the deal.

What should I do to get my money back from the escrow account?

As I went to pick up my closing check my agent called to tell me the deal fell thru from the seller who owed $63,000 in back taxes and 2nd mortgages. I loved this house and fully intended to buy the house. I paid $855.00 for: the home inspection, a heater certification, and appraisal.

My agent asked the sellers agent for my money back they declined it. I did get my earnst money back but feel I am entiled to the inspection, certification and appraisal expenses.

One week later, after I found another home, the seller for property (1) called an offered it to me again. I told them we were done.
